The Orchard Tavern

What does your business do?

The Orchard Tavern is a family pub which sells food and drink at reasonable prices.

We have a selection of wines, real ales and premium Irish whiskeys. With all the live sporting action and loads of live entertainment

What motivated you to do what you do?

I’ve been a General Manager for over 20 years, starting in Durham with Vaux Breweries in the 1990s before moving to London in 1999. Being a pub manager is a way of life not just a job and every day is different, I enjoy trying my best to make all customers have a good time and enjoy whatever we have to offer.

What is your Unique Selling Point?

We like to think we fill a gap between the gastro pubs and restaurants in the area, providing light bites as well as full meals. We have plenty of tables and comfortable seating with no loud music.

Who is your ideal customer/client?

Local people wanting to eat as well as well as have a drink in a comfortable atmosphere.

What gives your business the edge over your competitors?

We serve fresh food, not the usual pub offer. Also we have the ability to change our offer quickly as we are not a big chain pub, so we can listen to what the local customers want.

Do you have a particular service or product you’d like to flag up here?

Live sports and wi fi. We have a spacious lounge area that can be used for functions.

How do people get in touch with you? (Include as many ways as you like)
