What does your business do?
We are an owner operated pub that cares about customers and does British food with a kiwi twist, such as fish and chips with battered green lipped mussels and pineapple fritters.

What motivated you to do what you do?
I’ve always been in the pub restaurant trade, and have been doing it since I was 23 years old. It’s a pleasure for me to do this job, but it’s exhausting. I love to have a good chat with my customers. We’ve all got GOOD stories.

What is your Unique Selling Point?
Food and wine knowledge. I have visited 361 vineyards and counting. And I love food. I would sooner make food than make love!

Who is your ideal customer/client?
Ian Botham, Bob Willis (both are mates) or any other legendary cricketer or rugby great. I’ve also had some great Bond friends come drink at one of my previous pubs, such as George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig.

IMG_0838What gives your business the edge over your competitors?
The BEST roast dinner in London. FACT!

How do people get in touch with you?
You can contact me on mobile, as I am happy for customers to speak to me anytime!

What is your biggest challenge in the current climate?
Making people aware we are a great place.

Where do you think your business will be in 5 year’s time?
Best pub in the area, no doubt.

orchardHas being a member of ABN helped your business?
We held our first ABN networking lunch this week, and we hope we showed  just how great our food is.

What do you like about the Askew Road?
I like the diversity of it. Lots of privately owned businesses.

How easy is it to shop locally in Askew Road?
Its super easy, except for Parking. We need to get some Boris Bikes down here.

What are your favourite shops and businesses in Askew Road?
Detour Café, and Ginger Pig for my pork roasts!

What shops and businesses do you think Askew Road lacks?
It needs some gentrified shops. I love Maltby Street Market.
