Open studios: Chiswick, Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush 2017

Vote for Art this June

Once again, artists from Chiswick, Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush are preparing to throw open their doors for June’s art extravaganza.

Artists at Home – the hugely popular West London open studios event – will take place from 16th-18th June this year and is truly inclusive, involving 74 artists in 57 studios over three days.

Local artists will canvas the public with colourful opinions, strong views and an eclectic range of mediums, providing an opportunity to make an investment that will last the test of time.

You can browse the website http://www.artistsathome.net and plan your campaign trail, or wait for the printed guides, sponsored by local estate agent John Wood & Co. Ltd. which will be available from local businesses and dropped through letterboxes in the three-mile area covered by the event.

“This year more than ever, we feel people will enjoy a little escapism to discover wonderful art on their doorsteps,” says Jill Revie, one of the organisers of the event. “It is a real novelty to be able to see not only such a wide range of different types of art and craft but also to meet and talk to the artist and see where they work.”

Admission is free, refreshments are usually available and although artists are always pleased to make a sale, browsing is very welcome.
