Askew Road Christmas lights lit up by Santa
Askew Road Christmas event, Monday 15 December, 4.30-6pm
This year the Christmas tree lights will be turned on the tree on Starch Green by the one and only Father Christmas. Last year's Twelve Days of Christmas themed event in the Askew Road was a great success with activities at the library, retailers displaying wonderful festive wreaths and children doing the Christmas trail. This year's event, once again organised in conjunction with Hammersmith Community Gardens, promises to be another great family occasion so do come along.
4.30 - 6.00 Come and meet Father Christmas, his elves and reindeer on
Starch Green. Have your photo taken with Father Christmas in his
sleigh
4.30 Carol Singing on Starch Green
4.50 Tree lights switched on by Father Christmas
5.00 - 7.00 Carol Singing along Askew Road, finishing at The Eagle.
There will be carol singing on the green and along Askew Road for which we need volunteers to swell the volume as we are going for quantity, not quality, though the refreshments generously given by retailers certainly tune the tubes. To help us make this a great success and run as smoothly as possible, we need volunteers for:
- Carol singers;
- A photographer to document the event;
- Volunteers on the day for marshalling & giving information etc.
If you would like to do any of these please email Caroline for more information. It is enormous fun so please join us. ABN NEEDS YOU!
